Practice guide

Use the developer’s dated launch and ranked rules as context, then compare your own results with one change at a time. The practice method below is editorial guidance, not a tested combat ranking.

Write down your starting point

Record the date, the parts you are using, and the outcome you want to improve. Choose one question, such as whether you can perform a move consistently. Treat this as your own practice record, not a game-wide ranking.

Training and battles are part of the official game description. The October 26 update says the Training Hall is private to each player. [1] [11]

Practice the new clash timing dial

The October 28 rework replaces clash mashing with a timing dial: press as the needle crosses a zone. Green is PERFECT, yellow GREAT and orange GOOD. A clash has five progressively tighter zones and lasts about five seconds. Click or tap anywhere, press Q, or use R2 / A on controller. Early presses miss. [17]

The later 09:19 patch sets Brace cooldown to 1.2 seconds, superseding the 0.8 seconds announced earlier that morning. It also reduces normal-hit burst damage by 10%, cuts recoil spin cost by 25% and makes ring-outs harder. [18]

The October 26 Perfect-launch rule requires all four hits on time. The reviewed notes do not specify its timing window in milliseconds. [11]

The October 28 notes say ELO was not reset. Placements cannot take you past 1,599 ELO, and a placement win by forfeit does not jump you up. Placement opponents are limited to Gold or below. [17]

Leaving ranked counts as a forfeit, with the normal loss plus 10 ELO; the remaining player gets the win. The first player to leave a 2v2 or 3v3 forfeits the series for their team. A frozen match called off for everyone has no ELO change. [17]

The 09:19 patch sets a base minimum win gain of 5 ELO and maximum loss of 25 ELO before close-match and perfect-play adjustments. These are not absolute limits on the final change or on a forfeit penalty. [18]

Matchmaking and repeat-opponent rules

The October 28 notes expand the top-player matchmaking rule from Top 5 to Top 15. Top 15 players face each other or any Master; after 90 seconds they may also face someone near their ELO. Master players may face or challenge any Master. Clubmates are not matched against each other. [17]

The October 26 notes say wins against the same player stop counting after 3 battles in an hour. October 28 adds that a win after that point pays the BP and XP of a loss, including Friendly matches. See the separate Token allowances. [11] [17]

Change one thing at a time

If you change several parts and your technique together, you cannot tell which change affected the result. Keep a baseline, make one adjustment, and compare repeated attempts in similar conditions. This is a general testing method, not a claim about a specific Bey’s strength.

Use a small comparison log

RecordWhy it helps
Date and game version, if shownKeeps observations tied to the state of the game.
Parts and opponent or modeMakes the comparison easier to reproduce.
One changed variableSeparates an equipment change from a technique change.
Attempts and resultsAvoids judging a setup from a single win or loss.

Do not translate a few matches into a universal win-rate promise. Keep observations and explanations separate.

Separate learning from spending

Read the resource description before a reroll. The catalog describes Tokens as disc or driver trait rerolls and Lucky Spins as surname rolls. They are different systems. Parts and traits · Surnames · [3]

What this guide does not claim

The reviewed sources do not supply a tested combo comparison, complete type-advantage chart, precise launch timing window, damage formula or fastest farming route. The dated patch rules above do not establish a best build.
